KRC-2 and TS-590

Robert Brandon
Is anyone using a KRC-2 with a Kenwood TS-590?  Any limitations?  I wouldn't expect Kenwood has updated the control set since the KRC-2 was designed, but thought I'd check.

Still trying to get my KRC-2 to decode serial data with the TS-590.  No luck yet.  Anybody have this working?

The serial interface works fine with the K3 but not with the TS-590.  I did jumper pins 14 to 17 on the DB-9 connector side to provide the RTS voltage as suggested in the manual.

Success!  I was able to get it to work by using the setup on p. 23 of the manual -- with one important exception:  19200 baud did NOT work.  I had to set the speed to 9600 or 4800.  I did have to use the W14-W17 jumper for RTS.

FWIW, I found that 19200 wouldn't work with my K3 either.

The serial in and serial out is working great now.  Thanks to Elecraft support for the help.
