KRC2 Firmware/Power Problem

Rich-4
One of my KRC2s wipes the firmware when the power is removed from the unit.
This never happens with my other unit.

Any thoughts from the group?

Rich

Re: KRC2 Firmware/Power Problem

Rich,

Is the OP/DL switch to the OP (operate) position before removing power?
That is the only possible reason I can think of, and it should not clear
the firmware even then.
Can you tell us the whole scenario?  How do you determine that it has
lost its firmware - KRC2 Utility or other means?

Are you running it with a K2 or a K3?

Rhetorical question -- Why do things like this come up on Friday after
Elecraft support has gone for the weekend?
