1. I have quadruple-checked the polarity of every diode, electrolytic and
resistor pack. 2. I have quadruple-checked the orientation of every ic and transistor or voltage regulator. 3. I have reheated every pin I could reach. 4. I have not reversed X1 and X2. 5. I have loaded the latest version of firmware, and it seemed to work fine. I used the correct version for the KRC2ACC. I still do not seem to pass the initial checks. I cannot get voltages to appear on any of the "band relay" terminals. Yes, I am checking at the terminal itself, not the screw. What is my next move? Thanks for any and all suggestions. 73 de Brian W3BW *Brian F. Brian-
Your original post said you were working on the KRC2. Your last post stated you had it configured as the KRC2ACC. The KRC2ACC uses different firmware, and behaves differently than the basic KRC2. The KRC2ACC accessibility upgrade and operation instructions indicate how the KRC2ACC firmware should behave. Please confirm which configuration and firmware you are using. Bingo! I had loaded the correct firmware, but it never occurred to me that
the checkout procedures for the -ACC version differed from the basic version. Everything checks out FB. Thanks to all, and sorry for wasting the bandwidth. 73 de Brian W3BW *Brian F. Brian,
Those button functions on the KRC2ACC firmware do different things than the basic KRC2 firmware. If you have the KRC2ACC firmware loaded, it will not pass the tests given in the basic KRC2 manual. You could download and install the KRC2 firmware for that testing, and then install the KRC2ACC firmware when you finish the tests. 73, Don W3FPR On 6/23/2013 11:21 AM, Brian F. Wruble wrote: > 1.
