KRX3 - I mess up the installation- need help

Hello Group,

Let me just re-written my emails as follows:

After installation of the KRX3, I notice the following
errors:

1. In CONFIG: KRX3.  I only get NOR but NOT NOR-ANTx;
2. in CONFIG: VFO IND, I canNOT turn to 'yes'
3. when calibrate the 2nd synthesier, I get 'busy'
first, then E00039 and ERR VC4 upon completion.
 
 Can any of you kindly advise where to start trouble
 shooting.

Johnny,

I will leave the detailed troubleshooting to those who have the KRX3,
but I suggest for starters.
1) load the latest firmware - If you have older firmware may not contain
all the KRX3 support required.
2) Check and recheck to be certain everything is plugged in correctly.

Johnny - Grab the latest firmware at let's know how you get on...
ftp://elecraft.com/K3/firmware/beta/k2fw2r16.zip

The file will need unzipping and uploaded to your K3 with the latest
firmware utility.

Hello David,

Yes, I now fix my first problem but:

1. in CONFIG: VFO IND, I still cannot turn to 'yes'.  The message on the window of VFO B is 'no sub'

2. calibration of 2nd synthesier still give an error message 'E000039 ERR VC4"

wayne made a comment the other day ....
saying something to the effect of   "  when it
will work ...."  suggests it does not work yet ...
mine does not yet either.... and reports the same comment Johnny.....
