Got my KSB2 SSB board this morning about 10:30 -- Took about 3 hours all
told to build it, another couple to carefully check it over, do the install,
scrounge up a microphone off an old Tempo VHF-1 2 meter rig that I scrapped
months ago, and wire up an 8 pin plug to it. Everything checked out just
like the book said, and by 7:30 p.m. it was "On The Air" - First SSB QSO was
Wichita, KS to KC8CPT in Michigan, He gave me "excellent audio" and a 5-6
signal report. Power was set to 5 watts, the antenna was a B & W BWD-90
folded dipole at 25 feet. This rig just gets better and better.
