Congrats, Ed! Another Ann Arborite and KX-1 builder/owner here.
Every month on the fourth Monday of each month, ARROW
(www.w8pgw.org), the club here in Ann Arbor has a mini-Field Day at a
park in the area. Last night, ten of us met at Gallup Park to
operate /P. We mostly operate HF, but a few of the guys are VHF guys.
We'd love to have you join us.
Drop me a line or call me if you'd like more info. In September,
we're having "Construction Night," and we'll be building the
Pizzicato pulse generator described in the January QEX. This little
device will cost less than $20, and will give you the capability to
do some basic TDR measurements if you have an oscilloscope.
