Well, I spent about 13 hours over the weekend working on it, and KX1 #1721 is alive and kicking! I meticulously checked all solder joints and toroid leads (learned that one by experience with other kits!) Now on to the 80/30 and ATU...
One problem, though. I did not have time to do much transmit testing, but the little that I did, the KX1 was only putting out about 300 mW on both bands. Not sure why, I still need to go through the troubleshooting steps. But everything else checks out fine, so hopefully it'll be something simple.
