Thanks Don for your kind advice. After checking all that you said & getting nowhere I was there looking at the main board when I noticed a splash of solder shorting a couple of pins on RP1. After removing this the KX1 was suddenly working perfectly again. Many thanks again from an embarrassed 2E0BFJ Gary, 73
