Help. I just installed the 3080 module in my KX1 and I only get 30m
- no 80. I have firmware version 1.02, but when i cycle through band selection, I never see 80m. Any suggestions? ---- Tod Glenn N7JQW NAQCC #1283 SKCC #1444 FISTS #12134 ARCI #12420 [hidden email] _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Tod:
1. Tap the "MENU" button and rotate the freq knob until "b30" appears. 2. Tap the RIT button and "b80" will appear. 3. Hold down the Menu button to enter the edit process and the display will show "OFF". 4. Turn the frequency knob to select "ON". 5. Tap the "MENU" button again to exit the menu program. Tapping the RIT button in the "b" menu toggles it between 30 and 80 meters. I just ran into this myself yesterday as I was upgrading a KX1 that I built for KA3BLD. 73 Jim K4ZM _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Tod ... I had the same problem so I went back and read the book again. The
30 and 80 meter bands have to be turned on in the set-up before it will show up as a selectable band. The 80 meter activation is the last sentence in Step 1 of the Revision 1.02 Firmware new features. I missed that last sentence my first time through. Hopefully this will help you out. GL es 73 ...
