KX1 Cover Story

Jim Tittsler-4
The KX1 is featured in a pair of long articles in the August and
September issues of (the Japanese) CQ ham radio magazine.  The articles
by KATO Takahiro, JA9TTT/1, start in the August issue describing some
of the earlier backpacker rigs (like the Mountaineer, Micro-Mountaineer
and NorCal offerings) and then goes on to detail the KX1 receiver.
September's article goes on to describe the "Backpacker's Dream
Transceiver KX1" pointing out its various features in a tiny, portable
package.

CQ ham radio, 8/2004 pp 35-38, 103-114.
CQ ham radio, 9/2004 pp 76-87.

P.S.  And the July issue featured a cover photo of the FT-817 and Palm
Radio Mini-Paddle, so QRP has been *very* visible in _CQ ham radio_
recently.
