KX1 LED

Jason Hissong
Hey guys,

Quick question... I noticed that after the LED goes out after displaying
the frequency, some of the segments are still lit, but very faint.  It
does not affect the radio in any way, but I was just curious to why this
happens.

Thanks

Jason,

Not to worry - it has always been that way, and all of them will do that
too.
The uP lines that drive the LED display are shared with other functions,
and even after the LED is 'blanked', these other functions will still be
active and the LED segments will have a bit of a 'glow' to them as a
result.  If you don't want to see it, then always run the KX1 in a
lighted room :-) .  Normally that effect can only be seen in the dark
unless one has very good eyes.
