KX1 Woes

Ken Kirkley-3
Just pulled my KX1 out of the moth balls and powered it up. Upon being
powered up it starts transmiting without a key hooked to it. Was working
great
last time that I used it. I have checked for bad solder joints and loose
connections. Have tried it without the ATU installed with same luck.
Have tried it with
the top cover removed with same luck. What would casue it to go into
transmit without keying it?

Ken check the paddle plug to make sure it has not shorted on you internally.

Ken,
Is it sending dits, dahs, or a continuous signal?

John

KX1

Matt and Kelly
I have completed assembly of my KX1 (#1125), including the 30 meter module
and ATU.  Aside from a couple of dumb mistakes I made during assembly (one
of which was pointed out to me by Elecraft... thanks Scott), it works
perfectly.  Thanks to all who assisted me with my questions during assembly.

Matt - K7OE
