If anyone has worked out a good way to operate a KX1 portable while standing (with rig supported by strap etc), please share how you're doing it.
I'm using the KX1 on some winter SOTA operations (cold snowy summits) and if I could alleviate the need to sit, it would help. That's one thing I really liked about the FT817 neck strap. Thanks & 73, Barry N1EU |

Hi Barry,
I also fly R/C electric sailplanes when I'm not playing radio. I use a tray for my R/C transmitter which might be just what you're looking for to mount your KX1 for standing operation. There are several models, but I use the Universal Model which I think is $37.00 and very well constructed with a nice comfortable neck strap. THANK YOU Bill! That looks just the ticket. You don't know of any photos of someone with the tray mounted on them? Any idea what it weights or what it's made from (aluminum?)?
