KX1 - reading power

nf7v
I have a new KX1, sn 1237.  I just finished building it and I will soon build and install the KXB30 and the KXAT1.  I am reading the output power in the following way and I believe that it should be acceptable.

I have an MFJ 971 Ant Tuner with cross needle meter.  It will measure on three ranges: 6W/30W/300W.  I also have an MFJ 259 antenna analyzer and a 50W dummy load which is not purely resistive.  I attached the dummy load to the ANT input on the tuner, I then attached the 259 to the TRANS input on the tuner.  I set the 259 to 7.100Mhz and adjusted the tuner for a 1:1 swr on the 259.  I then removed the 259 and hooked up the KX1 and went into tune mode (radio at 7.1Mhz)and read my transmitted power on the meter on the 971 antenna tuner.  With this procedure I read about 4.5 watts on 40 and a tad under 4 on 20.

Is my procedure OK?
