KX1 with low power

John-479
I just finished the KX1 that I got from Santa.  Everything seems to work
fine except my WM-2 is only seeing about 1.5 watts into a 50 ohm dummy load
on both 20 and 40 meters.  What are the rest of you seeing?

--------------------------

Your readings are typical for what my KX1 produces operating off of internal
batteries and according to the specifications given in the manual.

With an external 13.8 vdc supply mine delivers:

40 meters = 4 watts
20 meters = 4.5 watts

The power output depends a great deal upon the supply voltage.
