All of the sudden my KX3's ATU cannot be seen by the radio and I can't
figure out why. I went to the menu ATU.X MD and it says "not inst" and when I try to change the mode, it just says N/A. I tried pulling the ATU out and put it back in, which didn't help. It was working just fine since the day it was installed until tonight. Any thoughts before I call support? Check the PA Mode in the menu and be sure it is set to OFF if you don't have a KXPA100 attached.

If you're using HRD try moving the "Low Pwr Slider" to 12Watts and see if that does the trick. You will see ATU on the KX3's screen. Also the KX3 menu will drop the .X and become just ATU MD. I really like HRD for logging but it doesn't get along with KX3 very well. 73 Stew ke4yh ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |

This has been reported to HRD and will be fixed in the next version. If you don’t touch the “high Pwr Slider”, the KX3 works OK with HRD. DM780 hangs when asked to transmit through rig blaster advantage + KX3, but that is a non-KX3 issue. — VaibhaV W7VAI ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |

All,
Lyle emailed me 2 minutes after I posted this and pointed me in the right direction (Thanks Lyle!) The problem was that at some point I had accidentally bumped the setting in the config to tell the radio that I had the KXPA100 installed, which I don't. As soon as I turned that off, everything was back to normal. The obvious fix is to satisfy your KX3's craving
by adding a KXPA3 :-) 73, Phil On 4/17/14, 8:22 PM, Tim Tucker wrote: > All, > > Lyle emailed me 2 minutes after I posted this and pointed me in the right > direction (Thanks Lyle!)
