Alan,
I took my KX3 round trip from Austin-Detroit-Newburgh last month on Delta as
carry-on baggage, and I had no issues whatsoever. The KX3 went though the
X-Ray in a case inside a backpack, TSA did not make me take it out, nor did
they bother to inspect it.
I even had my Trail-friendly End-Fedz antenna packed with it...again no
issue (they might have thought I would use it as a garrote! ;-)
