KX3 Aviation Band AM Receive?

James Meade
Can the KX3 receive 108-136 MHz AM?  Can it transmit on 118-136?  I would
like to use it as a secondary aviation comm radio in my experimental
airplane.
TIA

Jim

Re: KX3 Aviation Band AM Receive?

Raymond Sills
And I doubt it would be legal to use an amateur transceiver for
aircraft communications, even if the KX3 just happened to cover the
air band.
Some ham transceivers will permit listening to the air band, but none
permit transmitting on those frequencies.  And for good reason.
