KX3 - CW problem

Hi

I used a new KX3 for the first time on a SOTA activation. (Used the TRX at
home several times without this problem....)

Out on the summit minus 3 degrees Celsius....

After some minutes tx-ing in CW on 40m I got from the KX3 a continous serie
of dots....
I thought, my paddle was keying by mistake, but taking out the paddle, the
KX3 was sending dots continuous without the paddle....

When I turn off the KX3 and turn it on again, problem was gone.
On the display I red:  ERR KEY...

What can my problem be?

Any suggestions for me?
Was it to cold?
