KX3 DUST COVERS

Rose
I've had over 50 inquiries about dust covers for the KX3
and I'm now ready to take orders.

Since I don't have a KX3 to use as a manikin, Wayne
has helped me with the "fitting" of several prototypes
to his unit and giving me feedback.  He's told me the
fit is "perfect".

There's a soft, flannel-covered "pillow" inside the top of
the cover that rests on the display for protection and to
provide support so the cover rests evenly on the radio.

I can provide the cover with or without the opening for
the keyer paddle assembly.

I've sewn a firm material into the sides of the cover so it
will hold its shape and support itself.  Those of you who
have the radio on order can set the cover on your desk
as a reminder of what's coming. (:-))

If you want to see what the cover looks like, go to my
URL http://tinyurl.com/7lm3m5 and look at photo #61.

The small size of the cover and the inside pillow make
it "picky" and a bit difficult to sew.  It takes me much
longer to make the cover than those for the other K-line
radios.

Unlike the other covers, this one has to be mailed in a
small box and our PO tells me postage rates are to
increase later this month. (:-(

Because of the above factors, the cost of the cover will
be $38, PPD via First Class mail.  Payment can be made
to the PayPal account name [hidden email] .  If you inquire
about the cover, I'll reply with my "canned" response that
shows the fabric and thread colors I have available. There is
room for two (only) lines of embroidery.  As with my other
covers, there's no extra cost for embroidery.

A carrying case for the KX3 is a "work in progress" ...

I have Rose's final prototype cover on my KX3. The sewn-in
reinforcement really makes it look sharp.

The KX3 benefits more than most rigs from a dust cover because of its
upward-facing controls.
