[KX3] Interested in seeing operational KX3 - San Diego

Gary Hawkins
I'm interested in purchasing a KX3 from Elecraft but would love to see one and talk to owner before purchasing.  Is there someone in the San Diego (I'm located 92131) area that would be willing to show me their rig.  Thanks in appreciation.

Gary,

I'll be down in San Diego, with KX3, for Thanksgiving. If you don't get your hands on one sooner, let me know.

Hi Wayne,

Thanks so much for your offer.  I understand you're one of the founders of
Elecraft and I'd love to meet you if I don't see a KX3 sooner.  I used to do
a lot of portable VHF in UK as G1YOA. Now I'm licensed here I'm thinking
similar thing but on HF.  We live close to some nice peaks here - ideal for
combined hiking/radio operation.

Best regards,

Gary

The KX3 I'm bringing has the 2-meter module, so maybe we can give VHF a try.

Mt. Laguna is my favorite of the local San Diego peaks. I haven't officially done a SOTA effort--probably about time.
