HiI have a question about using a TR switch like the MFJ 1708 with the KX3 or KX2 and another receiver attached to the same antenna. I realize that transmitting could blow the front end of the second receiver if it is not switched out of the antenna path and grounded during transmit.My question is, the MJF has an RF sense that will switch the relay without using the key out when it detects RF. However, would this not mean that the RF is already there, and pose a risk? Or, is the switching fast enough so that there would be no issues? There is a schematic available in the manual for the MJF. Thanks for any advice.73 Tom va2fsq.com
