KX3 - KX3BC problem (?)

stan levandowski
ADDITIONAL INFO:  If I open it back up, there is a small pulsing flash,
obviously the alarm/time circuit.  If I remove the batteries, the KX3
works normally; if I reinstall them, the problem reoccurs.  Alarm is
OFF.

=====================================================================

I installed my KXBC3 this morning with no (apparent) problem and it
passed all its "tests."

I set it to a 16 hour charge and put it into its "Power-Off Pending
Mode".  The timer came on and began counting down.

About two hours later, I walked in and decided to exit the Power-Off
Pending Mode so I held the Band- and ATU Tune switches down as per page
3 of the instructions.

The display went blank, the KX3 went "dead" and now it won't come back
on.

Anyone got any ideas?

73, Stan WB2LQF

Re: KX3 - KX3BC problem (?)

I also received my backordered KXBC3 today and installed it. I did not have
any problems, and the Power Off Pending Mode seems to work fine here. No
problem turning the unit back on/off again. Sorry, Stan. I can't duplicate
your problem here.
