KX3 Kabel RS232 / USB

Hello,
Got a Pigtail Interface for using the KX3 on my iPad.
The KX3 needs to be interfaced to the Pigtail with an RS232 (DP-9) Serial
Cable.
I do have the KXUSB..
Is it possible to use a USB to Serial Interface for that one ??
Or rather design a new cable with a DP9 (2; 3; and 5) ??
