KX3 MOD

Richard Thorpe-2
I've done the mod and still need the RX SHIFT and the VFO NR ON on all bands 15 meters and up through 50 MHz.
I am in a rural location and have very low noise on all bands, I guess the pin clipping cannot hurt.

K6CG/VE1 for the summer

It worked great for me. With the antenna disconnected, I could hear VFO
noise only on 6 meters before the mod. After the mod, all is totally quiet.

The only strange result was that when I first turned the radio on after
cutting the pins, a message came up on the LCD: "OUCH!"
