KX3 Muting

Stuart Dunk
Hi all, can anyone give me some pointers on muting the KX3 when using it as a receiver and transmitting with the  FT 1000mp mk-v field and kpa500 combo.
I intend to use a coax relay as the isolation device!
Has anyone tried to use the KX3 and another rig in this configuration??

Cheers
Stu

Stu,

I would advocate using two coax relays and connect the KX3 to a dummy
load when the FT 1000MP is transmitting.  As for muting the KX3, the
easiest way I can think of is to set the power to zero and activate the
PTT with yet another relay contact.
