KX3 Problem

I just finished putting together a KX3 with the ATU option.  In Menu, I put ATU MD to Auto. "ATU" shows up on display. Pressing the ATU TUNE button gives the message, "NO ATU."

Unit receives just fine and transmits just fine.  Not sure what's wrong or how to get the KX3 to recognize the ATU. I'd appreciate your advice.
