Perhaps it depends on the type of operating you're doing. In a contest no
one cares how much power you are running they just want to copy your
callsign and report as quickly as possible. Sometimes "QRP" is the only
thing that is copiable and it becomes frustrating that the QSO cannot be
completed because the actual callsign was not sent enough times. The FCC
allows the self assigned /QRP indicator, I am not sure if it is allowed in
all countries.
