KX3 Rechargable Batteries

Taking the batteries in and out  of the radio between portable operations is a pain. Can I take out just one in the string? That would eliminate any current drain. Are there other considerations?  Doug K6JEY

If you have the battery charger / RTC, it would reduce the current drain
by a tiny amount (think uA).  But .. it is likely that battery
self-discharge is taking more charge from the batteries than the RTC.
