KX3 SSB average talk power dramatically improved -- need testers

Hi all,

As promised, we've been working on the KX3's speech compression algorithm. We now have a field-test firmware release that shows dramatic improvement in average talk power while still putting out a very clean, splatter-free signal.

Thanks for all the offers to try the field-test firmware. I have too many already, so everyone else might want to hold off until we do the next beta release.

We found a bit of a glitch in the algorithm. I'll send the code out as soon as we get that cleaned up.
