KX3 Switch Tones

I've noticed that with switch tones set on (SW TONE) that the KX3 will transmit the tone out the speaker port when in data mode. Shouldn't this be disabled in data mode? It does it whether transmitting or receiving, and messes things up.

I guess it should, I have not ever used SW TONE ON so had not noticed. As a workaround could program a macro key to switch it off and switch to data mode I suppose and then do the reverse when you exit data mode.
