Hi,
Is USB output of I and Q being contemplated in a future board rev? Is it possible with firmware rev for present board? 73 Steve KL7JT ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

No; there is no USB interface in the KX3 (the KXUSB has has a USB/Serial adapter built into the *cable*). You can use an external USB audio interface, of course. I'm currently using a E-MU 0202 USB. I've also used a Sound Blaster X-Fi USB, which works OK, but has a spike in the center. I doubt that there will ever be a USB audio interface inside the KX3... 73, ~iain / N6ML ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Or any type of USB interface. Perhaps in a new rig design (K4,
KX4??)... but certainly not in the KX3. It doesn't need one. 73 de Ray K2ULR KX3 #211 On Apr 22, 2013, at 5:13 PM, iain macdonnell - N6ML wrote: > On Mon, Apr 22, 2013 at 2:01 PM, Steve Stutman > <[hidden email]> wrote: >> Is USB output of I and Q being contemplated in a future board rev? >> >> Is it possible with firmware rev for present board? > > No; there is no USB interface in the KX3 (the KXUSB has has a > USB/Serial adapter built into the *cable*). > > You can use an external USB audio interface, of course. In reply to this post by Iain MacDonnell - N6ML-2
There is still tons of space available in the KX3! :) I want an
option that will emitt RF at frequencies that will keep the mosquitos away while camping....of course it would need to do this while I am operating normally on HF. Weird switch in the off position.... 73 Greg On 4/22/13, iain macdonnell - N6ML <[hidden email]> wrote: > On Mon, Apr 22, 2013 at 2:01 PM, Steve Stutman <[hidden email]> > wrote: >> Is USB output of I and Q being contemplated in a future board rev? >> >> Is it possible with firmware rev for present board? > > No; there is no USB interface in the KX3 (the KXUSB has has a > USB/Serial adapter built into the *cable*). > > You can use an external USB audio interface, of course.
