Hi
I am having issues in getting RumLog Version 5.3.7 logging program working with my KX3. How do I set up RumLog to work? What do I need to set in preferences? I am able to get KX3 Utility to work fine so there is no issue there I do not think. -- Jim K9TF ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |

What type of "issues" Jim?
Where do you get stuck? Did you select K2/K3 in the TRX 1 section of RUMlog preferences? Does your USB adaptor show in that page? If so, did you go to the Transceiver drop down and select Relinit TRX1 ? Then what happens? BTW, you aren't trying to connect to RUMlog with the K3 Utility still connected are you? I just got RUMLog to work my spiffy new KX3 (#6454). I had it
working with my K3 before hand. I set up the second transmitter (TRX 2) as an "Elecraft K2/K3", set the Baud to 4800, matching the default in the KX3, and selected the usbserial-A7030ASS which was the interface I used to save the configuration. I recommend getting it to work with the KX3 Mac utility first. The utility has more debugging aids (like "Test Communication"). 73 BIll AE6JV On 6/8/14 at 11:17 AM, [hidden email] (Jim GM) wrote: >I am having issues in getting RumLog Version 5.3.7 logging program working >with my KX3. Hi Bill
KX3 Mac Utility is working just fine except for AFSK I think user error and will figure it out later. I did see that and had set Baud to 4800 on RumLog. usbserial-A703095C was selected for the port. I had also turned off the KX3 Utility and RumLog is not working. I tried turning off and on the KX3 and RumLog in different sequences and RumLog still does not key the KX3. In RumLog what settings am I missing? -- Jim K9TF ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |

Thank you Joel
Is that all I had to do? I had it set for 4800 KX3 default. Setting the baud rate to 38400 did it. Cant't wait to see what fun I will have with it. Age here is 61 and had my ticket since May of 1968. -- Jim K9TF ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |
