KX3 audio quirk

Mike Lichtman
I am using the KX3 with the KXPA100 with the built in tuner. Earlier today when I turned on the Notch filter to kill a heterodyne, it was successful but also muted the audio a bit. When I then turned the Shift/Width control the slightest amount the audio came back to normal volume. Has anyone noticed this before? Did I miss something in the manual on it?  73 Mike KF6KXG

I have noticed something similar, but that has nothing to do with the KXPA100. Whe I switch on NR, the audio is muted. Pushing the PBT button to get "NORM" bandwith gets the audio back, but if I try to change the bandwith it is muted again. Strange. Without NR on there is no such strange behaviour.73 de Hal/la4xx
