KX3 encoder noise

Michael Mardis
I have the KX3 #1877. It came with AFX MOD already set to delay.
I still have VFO A tuning noise beginning at 20M. Sometimes low on 20. Sometimes moderate. But, as you move up the bands, it gets progressively worse.
This tops my very short list of "things I'd like changed". I really hope it's a software fix.
Thanks for an awesome radio. My first contact was on 40 using a horrible antenna the day I got it.

Mike,

I picked up on your "horrible antenna" words.
Yes, with no antenna, or a "horrible antenna", you may hear some VFO
tuning noise in the KX3, but that is usually covered up by band noise
with a normal antenna connected (except on 6 meters and maybe 10 meters
where the band noise is low).

You can use the menu VFO NR on bands where the tuning noise is a
problem.  This is a locked menu entry and it is a per band setting.
