KX3 failure of speaker in KX3 #27**

Elecraft mailing list
Good Morning,

I would like some help or advice to solve
my KX3 speaker problem.

My problem is that the speaker is silent, headphones work ok, as a
workaround I am

using a powered speaker. Looking at the circuit for the audio output I
feel that the

headphone socket is not switching back to the speaker, the speaker is ok.

Due to my fingers not being as nimble as they used to be I feel that I
should get someone

else to do the repairs, maybe the UK agent.

     Thanking you in advance,

             Barry G4DBS

Barry

It’s possible an internal connector has become partially loose.

Maybe try resetting obvious internal cables.

The speaker sometimes cuts out on my KX2 after a battery change which seems to be solved by re-jiggering things. Not very scientific but it might work.
