As I mentioned earlier today, the KX3's power jack is supposed to be both expoxied and soldered securely to the PC board. When this is done correctly, the connector will be very rigidly retained and should never come off. We're reviewing the manufacturing procedures and testing the current batch of boards to make sure this is the case.
If your KX3's power jack is loose or breaks off for any reason, we will repair it immediately, free of charge, even if the radio is out of warranty. We will also cover shipping both ways to the closest Elecraft repair facility.
