KX3 power supply question

W7GJ, Lance
Does anyone know if the KX3 can be used with an external 12-14 VDC power supply
WITHOUT any batteries installed?  I know some devices such as computers require the
batteries to be inserted even if they are not any good, to complete the circuit.

Leaving the batteries at home when traveling would help keep the weight down...  VY

Yes. And if you have both, whichever has the higher voltage (external
supply or internal battery) will be powering the radio.
