KX3 firmware rev 0.91 (with DSP rev 0.81) is now available. For
release notes and download information, please see our KX3 sofware page:

    http://www.elecraft.com/KX3/KX3_software.htm

If you have any questions about firmware upgrades, please email
support at elecraft.com.

Re: KX3 production firmware release (MCU rev 0.91) and new

W7GJ, Lance
Good news about the PTT IN on the ACC2IO ;-)  I assume this will cause the KX3 to go
into TX when the tip of ACC2 is grounded...correct?  Any plans (if even possible) to
offer the menu option make the KX3 go into to TX when the tip of ACC2 is HIGH (so it
would work directly off the RTS serial port line when it goes high for TX)?

Can't wait to get started making up the cables to interface properly with the KX3!

Yes.

I could provide both LO=PTT IN and HI=PTT IN options. Good idea. Note
that this is 3-V logic (but 5-V tolerant). Anything outside the range
of 0-5 V would require clamping or a large current-limiting resistor.

Re: KX3 production firmware release (MCU rev 0.91) and new

W7GJ, Lance
WOW!  That would be a GREAT option!

I just measured the serial output from the USB cable on my laptop, and I have -6.23
on receive and +6.8 VDC on transmit between the RTS (7) and Signal Ground (5) lines.
If it would work to simply stick a 1K or 10K resistor in series with the RTS line, it
sure would be a lot more compact and fit better into a connector than resistors and
2N2222 ;-)  MNI TNX for all your work!  VY 73, Lance

I'd use 2.2 K, but anything between 1 and 10 K should also work.
