KX3 reverse polarity power

Peter Lambert
G'day,

Not having a circuit I thought I'd just ask this one .

Do I have to worry about reversing the supply polarity on the KX3 ?

The knowledge will help me to decide whether to fit connectors to the power
cable and battery etc for long term portable use or whether I can get away
with the convenience of crocodile clips.

Thanks,

Peter VK4JD

No. There's a reverse-polarity protection diode.

Sure. I'd use different-colored ones if possible, though, to avoid
accidentally reversing the supply on some piece of gear that doesn't
have protection.
