My Order Confirmation 2208-4482-7710 (ordered on 10:46pm 12/27/11)
KX3 shipping status (kits): 12/28/11 , order #2208-4223-4678 4482-4223 = 259 kit to go until mine is shipped - what's that about a month? or is that 7710-4678 = 3032 kits to ship before mine? I think maybe next time I will buy a six month CD and wait to place my order. 73, Ed - KL7UW, WD2XSH/45 ====================================== BP40IQ 500 KHz - 10-GHz www.kl7uw.com EME: 50-1.1kw?, 144-1.4kw, 432-QRT, 1296-?, 3400-? Ed,
The order numbers do not indicate (directly) The number of KX3's (or other Elecraft products ordered) It is a sequential number issued by an outside order processing company that provides this service to several companies, including Elecraft. What we -ccan- do is determine the actual time of your order, and compare that time to pre-shipment confirmations that have been received. Here's how: Take the first 8 digits of your order confirmation number and remove the dash: 22084482 and multiply by 60 (seconds)= 1325068920. Take that number and plug it into the Epoch calculator at http://www.epochconverter.com/. The result is that your order was accepted at Wed, 28 Dec 2011 10:42:00 UTC. My kit order was accepted at Wed, 28 Dec 2011 06:51:00 UTC. (3hrs 51min before you) I received my pre shipment notice last night, showing shipment between 6/14 and 6/22. Based on the speed with which kit orders have ramped up, and the rate at which the shipment notices are now going out, I would estimate that you will receive your pre-shipment confirmation email within the next 1-2 weeks. You -must- reply to that message to tell them your order is correct. Then they will schedule your shipment. I hope this helps, Bruce, N1RX > My Order Confirmation 2208-4482-7710 (ordered on 10:46pm 12/27/11) > KX3 shipping status (kits): 12/28/11 , order #2208-4223-4678 > 4482-4223 = 259 kit to go until mine is shipped - what's that about a > month? > or is that 7710-4678 = 3032 kits to ship before mine? > I think maybe next time I will buy a six month CD and wait to place my > order. > 73, Ed - KL7UW, WD2XSH/45 ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Never dawned on me how the process would actually work. It was several
hours after the "window opened" that I realized Elecraft was accepting orders for the KX3. Amazing how many orders were placed in such a short period of time. On the negative side - I was disappointed when I heard the 100W amp for the KX3 probably wouldn't be available until maybe the end of 2012. On the plus side - it's now the middle of June and still waiting on my KX3 kit - so the wait for the amp (after receiving the KX3) won't be as long as I thought. (Great spin, huh? Maybe I should become a politician!) Friends and family think I've always been good with numbers. But I don't think I would ever have figured out how those order numbers convert to date/time - that was pretty impressive.
