I just completed the KX3 temperature compensation routine using the XG50. I noticed that when I later turned on my KX3 after it had been left in a cold vehicle, that the frequency was off quite a bit because it was colder than the lowest calibration entry in the compensation table. Once it had warmed up to where the temperature compensation table started, the radio jumped to the correct frequency. Wouldn't it make sense to have the software use the lowest value in the frequency compensation table for all temperatures lower than the lowest value. Also the highest value in the table could be used for temperatures higher than the highest entry in the table. That way, the error would be minimized when the operating temperature in the radio was outside of the temperature compensation range.
