KX3 travel/portable protection

David Stratton
It would be nice if someone would develop

a rubber like slip-on covering for the KX3

like they have for multi-meters.  It would

need openings in the appropriate places and

lettering for the opening designations that it

covers up. Also nice would be a mating plastic

snap-on cover (clear?) that fits over the display

and controls. All this would help keep the KX3 from

damage because the smaller and  more portable

a radio is the more likely it could suffer damage

during travel/portable operations.

David,

If your concern is greater during travel, then may I suggest the covers
by Rose Kopp.  They are dust covers (and thus are not waterproof), but
they not only look great, but pad the KX3 quite nicely.
If you need something waterproof, may I suggest a pelican case.
A "quick and dirty" solution to the waterproofing cover without the
pelican case is a gallon size freezer "Zip-Loc" bag (or other acceptable
brand.
