KX3 tuning noise and RF interference by mobile phones

Daniele Casini
Dear OMs,
I purchased the KX3 about 2 months ago by Elecraft the Italian retailer. After some days of portable and fixed station use I am quite happy, the radio performs well but needs roofing filters installed (mine doesn't have them installed yet) if it works with big antennas. The issues I found are the VFO noise in some bands (as discussed in other topics) and also some "whistles" specially on 6ms with preamp on. But in my opinion the worse issue is the sensitivity to SHF RF signals from  mobile phones. These interferences are not limited to speaker/mic (as usual 20 years ago, in all "pre-mobile phones era" audio devices such as telephones, speakers etc..) but affects also the s-meter and I assumed also some other internal circuitry. If you have your mobile phone on the table close to KX3 when it transmits it cause some noise. I was on holiday and I had also my old FT-890 with ATU that it is practically noy affected by this problem.
Could also high intensity RF fields produced by HF/VHF//UHF amplifiers interfere to the KX3? Is this issue known by Elecraft engineers?
