Considering buying the KXB3080.

Will the KXAT1 tuner in the KX1 match antennas on 80m???

Hi Joe,

The short answer is "sometimes." The KXAT1 was not designed to go below
40 meters, but it will help on 80 meters with certain antenna lengths.
I know some KX1 owners are experimenting with this. You could increase
the L and C values in the KXAT1 if you wanted to favor 80 meters at the
expense of some 20-meter matches.

You'd certainly have excellent results using a full-length resonant
antenna on 80 meters. Another possibility is a loading coil used with a
portable whip or random wire.
