KXBC3 Question!

*Good morning, Folks.*

*My KX3 has the KXBC3 Option with 200 maH NIMH Batteries installed: fully
charged to 11.0V (indicated).*

*When I set the BAT MIN to 8.5 in the Menu as is recommended in the Owner's
Manual and if I was to transmit using these internal batteries at 3W with
BKLIGHT "OFF", my rig would drop-dead way before the Internal Battery Pack
reached the 8.5V.*

*What do I have set wrong OR what am I missing here?*
