Has anyone with the KX3/KXPA100 combination ever have this situation? The power reading on my KX3 indicates the power output is 100 watts. The LEDs on the KXPA100 indicate a power reading of from 70 to 90 watts depending on the band. My wattmeter (using an MFJ tuner set to bypass) follows the power output on the KX3. There are no fault readings and everything seems to be working as it should.
I've done the calibration procedure several times following the manual closely. Yet the readings in the transmit gain are still an a rather than t. I know I am getting 100 watts output although the LEDs on the KXPA100 indicate 80watts or more or less depending on the band I am on. The procedure was done while on my dummy load.
Any ideas as to why there is this difference in the readings from the amp and the KX3?
Thanks,
Mike
