Kenwood MC-60 mic and K2

I just built the SSB board for my K2 and want to use an old Kenwood MC-60 mic.
Anyone have any experience with this? If so, I would like to know your settings
(preamp on/off. SSBA level on K2, etc.) and your resulting audio quality and
modulation level.
