Yep, it's a Happy Hacking Keyboard - they do both PS2 and USB versions - I
have a HH KB Lite 2 - USB version - I love it http://pfuca-store.stores.yahoo.net/haphackeylit1.html Looks like they may no longer make the PS2 version On 9/1/08 14:05, "Ken Kopp" <[hidden email]> sent: > Does anyone recognize the small keyboard shown > in the recent Yaesu ads? > > 73! I have been using the PS/2 version for years. They are most excellent, especially if you are a Linux user. The control key is where is where it should be, replacing the CAPS LOCK key. Ah yes, but the F-keys are not on the left hand side of the keyboard where THEY should be! -- 73 de K2ASP - Phil Kane Elecraft K2/100 s/n 5402 (Northgate Keyboard User) _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. I'm a fan of small keyboards and have used a small IBM keyboard for years. It's no longer made, but the closest current product is here:
http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:item.detail?GroupID=38&Code=31P9490¤t-category-id=E9ADAEB6787146E29B78400A33E7FE8A Obviously, it bigger than the keyboard you asked about but has the advantage of a touchpad/trackpoint mouse interface in a compact footprint.

Honestly, are you trying to be a troll? Because that's how your reply comes off as. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so anyway... I never implied that this particular keyboard had anything to do with one's operating system preferences. If you read PFU's website, you'll read that these keyboards were designed with UNIX users in mind. And if you read Wikipedia article on Caps Lock (or just do a Google search) you might read that the Caps Lock really is depreciated no matter what OS you use. On every keyboard I own (both PC and Linux computers), the CAPS LOCK key
has been removed so I don't keep hitting it by accident. I look to see if the idiot caps lock light is on//it's much easier than screwing around with the keyboard....and doesn't lull me into a false sense of security since I visit many different sites(keyboards) every week. Use enough stiff foam to prevent the key from operating unless you really do mean it. An unexpected benefit was that the 'solid' feel of the modified CAPS LOCK key has trained me to avoid that key on unmodified keyboards too. -- 73 from Ian GM3SEK _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
