I have been in contact with Dick, K6KR, the author of the updater
program who is travelling some distance and is away from a PC. Dick asked if I could update the "Reflector" with our findings. While Spysweeper reports a problem on my PC it seems that others are not seeing anything with other products. Dick also tried the Spysweeper demo version and didn't get a "hit" either. The latest hourly Spysweeper updates are still reporting an issue if I try to run the install file. I've reported the issue to Webroot, the authors of Spysweeper for their appraisal. I also uploaded the file to http://www.virustotal.com which tests against 32 anti-virus products (not necessarily spyware products). The Virus total site didn't find anything wrong with it. The problem is most likely a false report from the Spysweeper product. 73 Dave, G4AON K3/100 #80 _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Dave...
In Spysweeper go to the windows system tab and uncheck the auto shield for exe programs. The system should then ASK if you want to continue when you attempt to run an exe file. That's what I had to do and it worked fine. ------------------------- 73, Greg - AB7R Whidbey Island WA NA-065 K3#0009 On Wed Nov 21 14:48 , Dave G4AON sent: >I have been in contact with Dick, K6KR, the author of the updater >program who is travelling some distance and is away from a PC.
